Stardew Valley: Upgrade tools time

You should know that you can upgrade your tools. It’s possible to upgrade The Pickaxe, Axe, Hoe, Watering Can, and Trash Can from your inventory menu.

These upgrades make the tools more efficient. For example, a standard Watering Can could only water one tile, while the Iridium Watering Can allow you to water up to 18 tiles at one time!

To upgrade any tool, you should visit the Blacksmith. He can upgrade your tools for gold and Bars (gold amount and bar type depend on the upgrade level).

It takes two days to upgrade any tool, and you should note that you can’t get other services from Blacksmith during this time.

Upgrading pro-tip:

When you’re planning to upgrade your watering can make sure you don’t need it.

If a Blacksmith has to upgrade your tool, he will take it from your inventory.

So if you’re using the watering can try to watch the weathercast on your TV and give the item to the Blacksmith the day before the rain comes. It’s also a good idea to upgrade your tools during the Winter, because you may not need all of them.
